Home / Religion / Catholics who go to mass every Sunday declines, says SWS Survey

Former Philippine ambassador to the Vatican Henrietta De Villa Tita is worried and concerned due to the continued decline in the number of Catholics attending Mass every Sunday.

This is after the result of the SWS (Social Weather Stations) on the importance of faith in the lives of Filipinos.

Based on the survey of SWS, Iglesia Ni Cristo or Church of Christ is leading in the most attendees every Sunday worship which has 90%.

This was followed by Muslims with 81%, while a percentage of seventy one to different sectors of Christian religion, and 41% for the Catholics who go to mass every Sunday.

According to De Villa, the youth known as Millennials are frustrating due to lack of appreciation of this holy sacrament of the Christian church.
