Before President Duterte came up to the platform to convey his first SONA, he was seen stepping back and welcomed one of his greatest detractors, Senator Leila De Lima.

“Siyempre nagulat ako‚Ķ ‘di ko naman siya napansin na talagang radiances tumitingin. That was just the third time that they met, and the initial two were the point at which they were not on great terms. For the senator, it was just a “warm, inviting” motion that served as a sort of ice breaker for both of them.

“He attempted to disperse some idea that we are ‘mortal adversaries’,” she said.

As per her, it’s an indication that there is no individual fight between them, as she was simply doing her occupation.

“I think he just likewise needs to demonstrate the general population na kahit nagkakadiprensya kami on specific issues, as an issue of standard additionally, I have my own particular conviction, I have my own promotions, he has his own particular standards, convictions, and supports for administration pero walang personalan.”
