Presidential Communications Officer Martin Andanar lost his cool when a reporter from Inquirer named Marlon Ramos asked him about an unclear information about the plot to oust the Duterte administration.
Andanar previously issued a statement that there was and there is no plot to oust the Duterte administration. This is contrary to the statements of National Secretary Adviser Jun Esperon and Secretary of Defense Delfin Lorenzana that there is no plot to oust the Duterte admin.
This was what took place on the conversation between Andanar and Marlon Ramos:
Ramos: Pardon me sir for asking this, pero you keep on harping on there’s a plot to unseat the very popular president Duterte. Ano po ang basis when in fact two of the highest positions in the government sec jun esperon and snd sec lorenzana already shut down on those allegations.
Andanar: Alam mo kasi marlon siguro may mga reports na hindi po nakakarating sa lahat. meron pong mga intellignece reports na are classified. There are classified reports, Meron rin mga hindi cnilaclasify na reports. May mga ganon eh.
Andanar: Wag mo kaming pagsabungin Marlon. Wag mong sabihin because again you will write something and you will say na sabi ni Andanar ganito. Walang ganon. Basta kami meron kami sa cabinet na information na natatanggap. Sinasabi din namin because were open and we are very transparent.
Ramos: Di ko po kayo pinapasabong sir. I’m just asking for clarification…
Andanar: Yun ang parang lumalabas Marlon eh.
Ramos: It’s a perception nyo sir.
Andanar: Walang ganyanan.
Ramos: Wala indi naman po ganun eh. Galing rin po kayo sa media alam mo rin po yan.
Andanar: Alam ko naman yan. Let me ask you, are you fair in everything you write?
Andanar: What about in social media?
Ramos:That’s my personal.
Andanar: Exactly, but as a reporter you are an ambassador of your newspaper.
To me it seems Ramos is guilty on making malicious stories just to regale the readers of Inquirer. Andanar just became a little bit testy on pressuring him about the issue.
What do you think?
