A union gathering held a bike rally last September 11, asking for Sen. Leila De Lima’s resignation as a senator for her alleged links to illegal drugs.
The Alliance of Media and Riders Action Works (Tamaraw) had a motorcade in Quezon City Memorial Circle, drove by their originator and President Rodrigo Duterte supporter Even Demata.
As indicated by their Facebook page, the motivation behind the motorcade is to drive De Lima to leave as one of the Philippine legislators after she was connected in the illegal drug trade in New Bilibid Prison.
“Layon ng parade na ito na pagbitiwin si Senator Leila De Lima sa Senado dahil sa pagiging protector nito sa mga drug lords at pagkami sa mga kriminal,” Tamaraw member Bhoyet Abanto said.
Abanto said there will be more motorcade rally for the abdication of De Lima.
De Lima, a known pundit of Duterte because of his irregular method for battling against illegal drugs, was the objective of the organization’s supporters even before Duterte was hailed as the president.
A few people, including Duterte, connected De Lima in the diverse illegal drugs operations inside the nation’s greatest jail. In spite of the majority of the assaults, De Lima still declined to leave, saying leaving is an indication of admitting to the bits of gossip.
