The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mike Sueno confirms that there is a big possibility that a terror attack will take place on the feast of Black Nazarene, January 9, 2016.

Sueno said:

“There are already intelligence reports of that. Because these are terrorist groups being allegedly funded outside so there is strong possibility that they are already here. There are reports that’s why we are not moving everything. All the preparations we are doing. We are not leaving anything to chance at all as long as we know that there is threat, we consider it already big. That’s why our preparations are also big.”

Sueno also said that there are no cancellation order yet of the feat of the Black Nazarene in Quiapo despite the the terror threat looming in Quiapo, Manila City.

The PNP is now on alert and guarding Quiapo church and its vicinity.
