A former security aide of Senator Leila de Lima, high-profile inmate, Marine Lt. Col. Ferdinand Marcelino and officials of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) are going to testify today at the continuation of the hearing chamber associated with the drug trade in New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
According to the Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II, Joenel Sanchez will provide testimony and it will include the relationship of the senator and his driver Ronie Dayan.
An intelligence officer of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) is scheduled to speak against the senator.
Aguirre said, it is important to establish or verify the existence of the relationship between De Lima and Dayan because it can explain how drugs are being brought inside by Dayan at the NBP and how he got money on high-profile inmates.
Sanchez already told Aguirre that he had watched the two alleged sex videos of De Lima, and these videos were to had actually been shown to him by Dayan himself from the latter’s cellphone.
Another inmate of the NBP’s scheduled to testify to reveal how she hid De Lima P300 million in cash and jewelery seized by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) during a raid on the NBP in December 2014.
In total, thirteen are expected to testify today.
