De Lima appeals and pleads to President Rodrigo Duterte and his lackeys to “stop the madness”.

In a recent prison brawl and riot, high-profile inmate, Tony Co was killed while the rest of the high profile inmates were rushed to Medical Center Muntinlupa for treatment. Senator Leila de Lima believes that Malacañang is behind the violent prison riot that erupted last Wednesday in Building 14 of New Bilibid Prison’s maximum security compound.

De Lima also further explained that since inmates Tony and Peter Co, Vicente Sy, and Jaybee Sebastian refused to testify against her and decline to name her as the protector of drug lords in the Senate Hearing’s investigation on alleged illegal drug trade in Bilibi, they become victims of the casualty.

In a press conference hours after the incident, De Lima said “I am not discounting the possibility that this so-called riot is Malacañang’s way of sending its message to prisoners who refuse to implicate me in the Bilibid drug trade. It makes this government an assassin state, a state that promotes murder and summary executions as policy and as a weapon against perceived enemies.”

Feeling helpless and out of options, De Lima laid herself out to Mr. Duterte. She dares the President to stop this and get it over with. Her voice trembling in anger and expressing range, De Lima screamed “Enough! Just arrest me now! That’s really what you want to do. Send me to jail now!”
