Senator Antonio Trillanes IV turned over self-admitted professional killer Edgar Matobato to the Philippine National Police (PNP) this Friday morning, October 7, at around 10 am.
This is after a capture warrant was issued to Matobato by a Davao court in accordance with the latter’s instance of unlawful ownership of guns and ammo documented in 2014. PNP Chief Director General Ronald Bato Dela Rosa met Sen. Trillanes and Edgar Matobato at the PNP home office in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
Without further ado, Matobato has his mugshot and experienced the typical booking methodology at Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) NCR office.
In any case, Sen. Trillanes bids for the security for his witness. Evidently, the capture warrant against Edgar Matobato was issued after he and his legal advisor neglected to appear at a planned hearing before the Davao City Municipal Trial Court Branch 3 last Tuesday, October 4.
It ought to be noticed that the day preceding, Matobato showed up in the Senate hearing on the alleged drug-related extra judicial killings.
