Abu Sayyaf sub-leader Muammar Askali alias Abu Rami is dead, according to the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Confirmed by AFP Chief of Staff Eduardo Año that it was Abu Rami who was killed among other members of the ASG in an exchange of gunfire between the government troops and Abu Sayyaf in Inabanga, Bohol on Holy Tuesday.

Año said, we do not have yet the complete knowledge and information that we can can declare that the threat is over, if the issue is the threat of terrorists in Bohol.

Año also said that the ASG should think many times before they give terror to innocent people of the country.

At the same time, Año commended the heroic soldiers and even the public reason to prevent the threat of bandit ASG.
