Home / Music / Complete list of rock bands in the Philippines from 60’s to present

{Updated 05/09/2015 for additional content}

Plug in your headphones because I give you now the complete list of Philippine rock bands and pop bands. The following are, of course, OPM (Original Pilipino Music). The bands listed here are in random, and are both commercial and undeground bands. It means, listed here are signed and unsigned bands, bands that are under major record companies and under independent record labels. See also: New Wave bands in PH.

Also, these are categorized through era, the 60’s and 70’s, 80’s, the 90’s and new millennium. Most of the bands listed here are from the 90’s and from the year 2000; only a few in 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. It’s pretty obvious that the Philippine music industry, especially the rock genre, is growing. Although these are pure rock, pop rock, punk rock, new wave, heavy metal, hard rock, blues, rock n roll, grunge, post-punk, alternative, indie pop, emo…the important thing is these bands are original Pinoy Rock.

ALSO READ: Filipino rock songs you probably think are genuine but no.

The list is based on me and my brother’s data base inside our brains since we started listening to rock music at the age of 12. Some are based on other sources on the Net since we just can’t remember all the bands we listened to since high school (early 90’s). So here’s the list:
