Showbiz industry is now mourning as one of the greatest actors in the Philippines, Max Laurel, died at 71.

Laurel died on June 11, Saturday because of cardiac arrest. Max Laurel is the main character of the movie Zuma in 1985 and 1987.

Laurel was renowned for his iconic role as “Zuma,” released in 1985. This classical movie is about a creature, Zuma, donning a snake over his shoulder. Zuma is based on comic series which was created by Jim Fernandez in 1976.

In 2013, Laurel directed a TV series of ABS CBN titled “Galema: Anak Ni Zuma,” where Andi Eigenmann was main character. Since Laurel was a tall man, he usually played the role of villain in most of his movies.

He starred in such movies “Durugin Si Totoy Bato” (1979), “Ang Panday” (1980), “Lucio Margallo” (1992), “Dugo ng Panday” (1993),  “Ang Maestro” (1981), “Tatlong Baraha” (1981), “D’ Wild Wild Weng” (1982), “Mad Warrior” (1984), “Sgt. Ex-sexy star sexy star Hanni Miller confirmed that Laurel’s remains is lay at La Funeraria Paz, Araneta Avenue, Quezon City.

I remember, I got confused between Zuma and The Hulk because both of them have green skins. When I was a kid, I am scared of Zuma because in the movie he killed lots of victims, plus his fat snake. My mom told me if I continue being a hard-headed kid, Zuma will come to our house and get me.

And now, I learned that the actor who played the role of Zuma is dead. I feel so sad because another talented man died.
